Pastoral Support
The pastoral work of the school is very important to us.
We have one Pastoral Manager. Mrs Spiers works closely with the Family Support Worker, AHT/SENCo, SEMH and Well-being Lead, teaching staff, lunchtime supervisors and senior management to ensure that the children at Paget Primary School are supported in all aspects of school life.
From a welcome smile on the gate before and after school; monitoring attendance and punctuality; and engaging of families to help with their challenges, the pastoral support given enables children to remove barriers to learning.
The Pastoral Manager holds groups, including the Paget Way, that develop pupil self-esteem, motivation, confidence, and behavioural choices to enable the children to focus on their learning.
Being involved with the pastoral work at Paget, is about all of us working together, with our families, to enable children to be the best they can be through encouragement, support, expectations and opportunities given.
It is simply at the heart of what we do.
